BOARD POSITIONS

​The elected positions for the WSC board are the President, Vice President,  Treasurer, Secretary, and Parliamentarian. The appointed positions include the chairs and co-chairs of the following: Thrift Shop Chair, Theater Chair, Special Events Chair, Historic Homes Tour Chair, Scholarship Chair, Membership Chair, Socials Chair, and Webmaster. A brief job description for each position can be found below.

The WSC does not limit applicants to those with previous WSC Board experience though each candidate must be willing to learn. We do emphasize the responsibly and time commitment that accompanies a position on the board.​ If you are seeking more information about the positions, please reach out to the parliamentarian at parliamentarian@warrenspousesclub.org or the current board member holding the position(s) you are  considering. 

Executive Board Positions

Along with the job specific duties, Executive Board members are required to:

  • Attend monthly Executive Board meetings

  • Attend bi-monthly General Board meetings 

  • Attend monthly membership Socials and different WSC Events

  • Maintain continuity file

  • Conduct changeover at the end of the board year

President

Elected Position

​

The President provides overall leadership and direction for the Warren Spouses’ Club. They preside over all meetings, set meeting agendas, and oversee reports from all Executive and Standing Committees. The President appoints committee chairs, ensures compliance with WSC bylaws, and serves as liaison to the 90th Missile Wing Legal Office. Additionally, the President is a signatory on all bank accounts and serves on both the Budget Committee and the Financial Review Sub-Committee.

Vice President

Elected Position

The Vice President supports the President and assumes their duties in their absence or if the position becomes vacant. This role oversees all WSC Mini Clubs and appointed Chairpersons, serving as their primary liaison to the Executive and General Boards. The Vice President also provides monthly activity summaries, assists with Board administration, serves on the Budget Committee, and is authorized to sign checks on WSC accounts.

Treasurer

Elected Position

​

The Treasurer manages and disburses all WSC funds, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance with approved financial policies. This role balances accounts monthly, maintains records for seven years, and submits reports to the General Board and IRS as required. The Treasurer chairs the Budget Committee, leads financial reviews, and serves as a signatory on all bank accounts alongside the President and Vice President.

Secretary

Elected Position

The Secretary maintains accurate records for the WSC, recording minutes of all meetings and managing the organization’s permanent documents. This role updates the General Board roster, organizational chart, and job descriptions while ensuring timely communication of meeting information. The Secretary serves on the Budget Committee and acts as an ex officio member of all standing committees.

Parliamentarian

Appointed Position

​

The Parliamentarian advises the Executive and General Boards on proper procedures in accordance with WSC bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order. This role ensures compliance with governance standards, maintains constitutional documents, and oversees electronic voting. The Parliamentarian also chairs the Nominating and Constitution & Bylaws Committees, serves on the Budget Committee, and acts as an ex officio member of all standing committees.

General Board Positions

Along with the job specific duties, General Board members are required to:

  • Attend bi-monthly board meetings

  • Attend monthly membership Socials

  • Complete monthly board reports

  • Maintain continuity file

  • Conduct changeover at the end of the board year

Thrift Shop Chair

​The Thrift Shop Chairperson oversees the daily operations and management of the WSC Thrift Shop, ensuring a positive experience for customers, consignors, and volunteers. Reporting to the Vice President, this role leads the Thrift Shop Committee, manages finances and inventory, and promotes community engagement through donations, consignments, and shop activities.

Theater Chair

The Theater Chairperson oversees the daily operations and management of the WSC Movie Theater, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized experience for the community. Reporting to the Vice President, this role leads the Theater Committee, coordinates movie showings and events, manages volunteers and budgets, and promotes the theater as a valued gathering place for WSC members.

Special Events Chair

The Special Events Chairperson plans and oversees major WSC social and fundraising events, ensuring they are well-organized, engaging, and aligned with the WSC mission. Reporting to the Vice President, this role leads the Fundraising Committee, manages volunteers, coordinates logistics and budgets, and works closely with the Board to deliver successful events like the annual Boots & Baubles Auction and Spring Welfare Fundraiser.

Historic Homes Tours Chair

The Historic Homes Tour Chairperson plans and oversees the annual Historic Homes Tour, a longstanding WSC tradition held in partnership with Cheyenne Frontier Days and F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Reporting to the Board, this role serves as the primary liaison with base and community partners, coordinates volunteers and logistics, manages event funds and inventory, and ensures the tour is executed safely, professionally, and in accordance with WSC and base guidelines.

Scholarship Chair

The Scholarships Chairperson leads the planning, administration, and oversight of the WSC Scholarship Program, ensuring it operates fairly, transparently, and in accordance with WSC bylaws and eligibility criteria. Reporting to the Board, this role chairs the Scholarship Committee, coordinates the application and selection process, manages communication with applicants, and oversees the fair distribution of scholarship funds. The Chairperson maintains accurate records and provides an annual summary to the Board.

Membership Chair

The Membership Chairperson manages membership records and registration for the WSC, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth check-in processes at events. Reporting to the Board, this role maintains the official membership roster, verifies eligibility for participation, and assists with dues collection. The Chairperson helps foster a welcoming environment for new and returning members while ensuring compliance with WSC bylaws and procedures.

Socials Chair

The Socials Chairperson plans and coordinates monthly WSC social events that foster connection, community, and engagement among members. Reporting to the Board, this role leads the Social Committee, organizes event logistics and volunteers, manages budgets, and collaborates with other chairs to promote events across WSC communication channels. The Chairperson ensures each social is well-planned, welcoming, and reflective of the WSC’s mission to build community and fellowship.

Webmaster

​

The Webmaster manages the Warren Spouses’ Club website, social media, and digital communications to ensure accurate, engaging, and up-to-date information for members and the community. Reporting to the Board, this role maintains the WSC’s online presence, promotes events and initiatives, and provides creative design support for digital and print materials that reflect the organization’s mission and activities.
